Doctors

Dr Rachel O'Donnell

Rachel O'Donnell came to Cross Deep in 2006 as a salaried doctor, and was made partner in 2011 and senior partner in December 2014. Prior to general practice, she had 7 years experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and worked for 4 years in an NHS infertility clinic. As such she is experienced in all areas of women's health, fertility issues and is able to perform gynaecological ultrasounds, and is qualified to insert coils and contraceptive implants.

She has the Diploma of Child Health, and with three children of her own, is equally comfortable in Paediatric medicine.

Her other areas of interest are dementia and mental health issues. She also has an interest in GP education and is a local GP appraiser with 5 years experience, and is an established GP trainer since 4 years.

Dr Clare Hurle

Clare Hurle joined the practice in 2009 and became a partner in 2011.
After a first career in business based in Japan and the USA, she retrained in medicine at Imperial College, London and completed her General Practice training with distinction in her MRCGP.

Her clinical interests include family planning and women's health, including fitting of contraceptive coils and implants. She holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare as well as the Diploma in Child Health.

She also has an interest in GP education and is a GP trainer.

 

Dr Suman Pramanik

Suman Pramanik, originally a Yorkshire lad, graduated from Imperial College in London in 2004. After training and working in SE London, he joined the practice in 2011. He is interested in practising holistic medicine, has a diploma in diabetes medicine and is involved with undergraduate teaching at Imperial College.

When not at work, he is kept entertained by his wife and 2 young daughters!

Dr Sylwia Ferguson

Dr Ferguson graduated from Gdansk Medical University in Poland in 1997 and from St George’s University in London in 1999. After working in several other local GP Surgeries, Dr Ferguson joined the Cross Deep Surgery team in January 2014. She has broad medical interests which include minor surgery, joint injections and coil fittings.

She is also involved in the training of medical students from St George’s University.

Dr Ferguson is happy to carry out her consultations in Polish if requested. 

Dr Jenny Eades

Jenny Eades graduated from Imperial College London, before undertaking her General Practice training in Twickenham. Having previously worked at the practice during 2009, she joined Cross Deep Surgery permanently in 2014.

Her clinical interests include Paediatrics and Women's Health.

Dr Eloise Elphinstone

Eloise graduated from Bristol University in 2008. She spent a year in Australia working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She did GP training in Southwark, before moving to Cross Deep Surgery in 2015. She holds a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Sexual health and also fits coils and implants.

Registrars

Teaching & Training

We are involved in the continuing training of doctors who have already completed their initial hospital posts. Known either as a Registrar or a Foundation 2 doctor they are now gaining experience in general practice. As part of their training we may ask for your consent to video the consultation. If for any reason you would prefer not to take part in a video session please do make your view known to the receptionist or practitioner and we will be more than happy to respect your wishes.

GP Registrars                                                 

Registrars are in the last stages of their preparation to become GPs. They are with us for varying lengths of time depending on their training history and are supervised by Dr O'Donnell & Dr Hurle.

Foundation Year 2 Doctors

These are qualified doctors who are with us for 4 months at a time. They are supervised at the end of each surgery by one of the partners. Dr Robertson is the Foundation Year 2 trainer 

Medical Students 

From time to time medical students are attached to the practice.
